Delegates' Assembly

par Viktoria Gastens | 8 mai 2017

On Sunday 7th May, the second delegates' assembly of 2017 took place in Zurich. Normally it is held in Bern, the exception was made because of the SOLA race one day before.

The main part of the assembly was the report of the asep executive board:

· Viktoria is part of the IPSF delegation at the 70th World Health Assembly (WHA) – the General Assembly of WHO in Geneva. As part of the Communication Team of this delegation, she worked on two booklets for the IPSF delegates.

· Students from Leiden in the Netherlands were hosted by asep in Geneva on the second weekend of April (see the corresponding blog entry).

· The first NPSW meeting was held in Zurich in April. First points of discussions are accommodation and budget.

· A Swiss delegation of eight students attended the EPSA Annual Congress in Kranjska Gora (see the corresponding blog entry).

· The asep Charity Runners finished the SOLA race with an outstanding 774th rank. Even more impressive is their commitment for a good cause:

Viktoria pointed out some problems of our decentralized students’ organisation: Identification with our association and motivation for active cooperation. In consequence, the following enhancements were proposed and accepted:

· Communication Guidelines

· Handbooks for Executive Board Members

· Key Performance Indicators

· Public Health Campaign

· Merchandise

We’ve gained inspiration for these improvements at the EPSA AC.

As an additional treat for future participants of the DV, we decided to connect each delegates’ assembly with an exciting event.

Stay tuned for the next events:

· GSIA Roundtable: May 18th in Zurich

· Roche Career Afternoon: May 29th in Basel

The third delegates’ assembly of 2017 will take place in Bern on October 1st 2017.
